Is it free?
Yes. InkognitoPDF is free and open source, with no paid tiers and no watermarks.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser. You can check it yourself: once the app is open, disconnect from the internet and it keeps working.
How do I install it?
Open the app and choose “Install” in your browser menu, or “Add to Home Screen” on your phone. It opens like any other app and works offline.
Are digital signatures legally valid?
InkognitoPDF creates standard PAdES signatures with your certificate, which Adobe Acrobat and other readers can verify. Their legal validity depends on the certificate you use and the rules in your country.
Which browsers does it work in?
Modern desktop and mobile browsers. It is tested most in Chrome and Edge.
Usage measurement
If you accept, we use Google Analytics (through Firebase) to learn how many people use InkognitoPDF, for how long and which features are used most.
What is measured
Visits to this page and to the app, time of use, language and which features are used (open, edit text, annotate, sign, scan, save…), with rough figures such as the number of pages or the file size in ranges.
What is never measured
Not your file names, their text or content, recognized text, your signatures or certificates, or what you type in forms. There are no ads and nothing is used for advertising.
It is optional: without your permission nothing from Google is loaded. You can change your mind here or under “Privacy” in the app menu.
