How to make a PDF smaller
- Press “Compress a PDF” and open the file.
- In “Review”, press “Compress”.

Why do it with InkognitoPDF
Your PDF does not travel
Online compressors get a copy of your file. Here the compression happens in your browser.
You choose the quality
Three clear levels, each with its image resolution, so nothing becomes unreadable without you noticing.
Text stays text
Only the images are reduced: the text can still be selected, searched and copied.
Frequently asked questions
How much smaller does it get?
It depends on the file. PDFs with photos or scanned pages usually shrink a lot; PDFs that are mostly text are already small and barely change.
Do I lose quality?
Images with more resolution than needed are reduced. “High quality” only touches those above 200 dpi; “Smallest size” is meant for reading on screen.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Open the app in your phone’s browser, open the PDF and find “Compress” in the “More” menu.
